This is a study for a painting based off a patch on my girlfriend's childhood sweater... I love the patch and the story behind it so I decided to do a little spin on it.
from Inuktitut, a word of greeting, farewell, and toast before drinking.
Chimo was incorporated into English by an act of the Federal Government of Canada in 1967 in an effort to create a national greeting akin to ciao or aloha. The word was somewhat popular during the Canadian centennial celebrations, but in current use is mostly ironic.

I just finished a 18" x 24" painting of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford as a butcher shop pig highlighting his proposed service cuts... it seems to be reaching a lot of people and even got a mention in the Globe and Mail. click the title for Globe and Mail link

Well... I was looking for something to do while waiting for some work to trickle down my way and decided to paint some bike bells... I think I will do about a dozen and see if I can sell them down at the local bike shop... calling them Adorabells... **cheese**
